At Intra2 we recommend to blur out any confidential and personal information on screenshots before sharing them on the extranet. We also do regular checkups on the latest uploaded screenshots to make sure that personal information, faces, names and contact information is unrecognizable.
We use a light grey color in a rectangular shape for text and numbers, and an oval shape for faces to make the blurring as neutral as possible. This can be done in the free Paint program.
We have listed five guidelines to aid you in the blurring process
- Blur out faces on pictures with a single person
- Blur out the last four digits of the phone number
- Blur out the part of an email address before the
- Blur out middle and last name
- Blur out business critical data and confidential information
